A note from Lonzo Forester:

Music production and the graphic arts has been the core of my expertise for more than 18 years. As a child my mother saw my interest in music and sought to encourage my curiosity by enrolling me in piano lessons. Although I was happy to learn how to properly play the piano, I began to grow weary of the idea of playing other composers music instead of creating my own. Little did I know that my independent free formed personality would eventually lead me on a lifetime journey of self-education and self-motivation.

Inspired by various genres and mediums, I started producing music that resembled the sounds I often heard from some of my favorite video games. As a kid, I was a huge fan of Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, etc; as a result, I tried to create my own versions of these soundtracks. Simultaneously I began to be encouraged by the Hip-Hop music that I often heard in my neighborhood as well. Both my older brother and first cousin were fans of Tupac Shakur, The Fugees, Wu-Tang Clan, etc; so naturally I wanted to fit in by surrounding myself with the same music. It was during this early time in my childhood where I began the idea of combining both elements together as one.

At the time, I didn't know of anyone who had such an idea, so I began to lock myself in my room in order to experiment. Looking back, I'm sure I kept my family up late at night wondering why I couldn't at least put on my headphones. Nevertheless, fast-forward 18 years later and here is the result of my experiments. Since then, I have garnered much more inspiration from other genres but my initial foundation shall always remain that which I stand on. I hope you enjoy!
