My name is Lauren Wilbur and I'm an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. I primarily work with bristol and ink, gathering inspiration from real-life experiences. Based on my own emotions and perceptions, figures are often depicted in realistic scenarios but with a hyperbolic twist. I aim for my work to be emotive and moving; transportive and relatable all at once. Ten Years ago I was living in Missouri with my cat, Girlfriend, often imagining a life in the big city. These days, I'm without cat, navigating this "new normal" with a loving partner and a plethora of feelings to guide my creative process. I hope you enjoy!
